Easy to start. Hard to put down.
We make puzzle games you can play with one thumb on the bus. The first one is called Shove Off, and it’s about arrows that badly want to leave.
Our games
Small games, made to last.
Each game starts as one rule we can’t stop fiddling with. Shove Off’s rule turned into more than a hundred levels.
How we make games
We build every game around one tap.
-
Ten seconds to learn
Tap an arrow and watch where it goes. That’s the whole lesson. A few chapters later the same tap is moving entire trains, and you’ll catch yourself planning three moves ahead on the sofa.
-

It waits for you
Think over a move for a minute, or for ten. The game sits there quietly with its music turned low, happy to be put down mid-thought and picked up after dinner. We wanted it to feel like a puzzle book left open on the table.
-
Readable at a glance
Blue squares go up and plum octagons go down. Every direction gets its own colour and its own shape, so even a packed board reads in a second.
-
Open it and play
You’re one tap from a board the moment the app opens. That’s all the setup there is.
About
A tiny studio with a cat on the logo.
OneKateTap is a small independent studio. Every game starts as a scrappy prototype, and bots play it over and over until the numbers say it deserves a real person’s evening.
That cat opens every game, too. It pops out of a pressed button and blinks at you once.
